My new toy

So, I bought a Nokia e61 on an impulse eBay buy.  3G that I can use in Japan and still syncs without look means the end of my HTC smartphone, plus this one is without the Microsoft influence.  Or so I thought… less than one day of use and it starts to mysteriously reboot.  Anyway, I found good company in the form of another Wordpress user here.

It’s a nice phone, but I’m still learning how to get all the fun stuff on it.

Also on impulse, I bought an iRiver Clix.  I’m curious to see how good the flash games are.

Walking through Best Buy, my pregnant wife reminds me of why I love her so much.  We see one of these.  To which her comment is (out loud), “it looks like a tampon!!!”  Never let it be said she doesn’t speak her mind.

I’m a sucker

For a few things

  1. My family
  2. Nostalgia
  3. Inspirational stories

So here’s the list today:

  1. Chance’s new pics
  2. The PC is turning 25.  My dad actually had an 8086 clone made by Eagle with a PC (not MS) DOS OS on it.  I also had an IBM XT with a HUGE 5 MB hard drive, that he said we’d never fill.  If this is too geeky, just go here.
  3. I got to watch Chandler Bing play teacher.  I actually love stories like this.  I really wish teaching paid better.  Then things like “Stand and Deliver” and “Dangerous Minds” would happen more often.

Sorry… Busy

Went to Japan, came back

Sharon is looking larger with child everyday.

Chance is just like his daddy.  Always talking, never listening.

I watched the USA Basketball team play their first few exhibition games.  At the end of the China game, I saw this little flashy Chinese point guard trying to shake Chris Paul, and1 style.  Did a little searching, he’s a not a bad looking basketball player.  Google video has some highlights of him.

Services like Google Video and YouTube cannot possibly be good for the ever eroding attention span in America.  Now, we can just watch your favorite part of SportsCenter on-line, any time.
